Scope

The sixth International Conference on Image Processing Theory, Tools and Applications (IPTA'16) will be held on December 12-15, 2016, in the exciting city of Oulu (Finland). Oulu, which is situated about 125 miles south of the Arctic Circle, is known as the capital of Northern Scandinavia and the city of technology. IPTA'16 aims at bringing together international researchers, innovators, educators, and practitioners in image processing to share their achievements, exchange their experience and discuss future orientations. The conference provides an excellent forum to meet and discuss various important issues on image processing and applications. The topics of interest for IPTA'16 include, but are not limited to *Image/video coding and compression: Image/video acquisition systems, Image/video coding and compression, image/video search and retrieval, image/video indexing and retrieval, Watermarking, algorithm-architecture adequacy in image processing. *Image/video processing: Image/video processing/analysis, filtering and restoration/enhancement, image/video segmentation, pattern recognition and shape analysis, color and multispectral processing, statistical learning methods for image classification, feature extraction/description/interpretation, 2D&3D modeling and processing. *Image formation, scanning, display and printing: Remote sensing, optimal imaging, synthetic-image systems, scanning and sampling, color reproduction, image representation and rendering, display and printing systems, image quality assessment. *Applications: Biological and medical imaging, biometric authentication, face and iris recognition, robotics applications, medical imaging systems technology, 3D interaction techniques and user assistance, geosciences and remote sensing, document image processing and analysis, multimodal rendering (visual, haptic, etc.), other applications. SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.

Self-Cites

Evolution of the total number of citations and journal's self-citations received by a journal's published documents during the three previous years.
Journal Self-citation is defined as the number of citation from a journal citing article to articles published by the same journal.
