Scope

Perseitas is a serial open access publication financed by the Luis Amigó Catholic University Publishing Fund, which deals with all costs of editorial production, publication and dissemination. In view of this, Perseitas does not charge the authors for any activity of the editorial process or publication; it does not generate economic rewards for the authors who contribute to the journal or the members of the committees. The decisions and procedures are governed by criteria of academic quality, investigative excellence, integrity, honesty and transparency, which is why it adheres to the principles of the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE). It is an academic publication of the Faculty of Education and Humanities of the Luis Amigó Catholic University (Medellin-Colombia), its purpose is the dissemination of knowledge in the field of humanities; its periodicity is half-yearly, it is presented in digital format and receives contributions of the following type: Scientific and technological research article: document that presents, in a detailed manner, the original results of completed research projects. The structure generally used contains four important sections: introduction, methodology, results and conclusions. Article of reflection derived from research: document that presents results of research completed from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, using original sources. Review article: document resulting from a finished research where the results of published or unpublished research are analyzed, systematized and integrated, on a field in science or technology, in order to account for advances and development techniques. It is characterized by presenting a bibliographic review of at least 50 references. Join the conversation about this journal
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
