Scope

SciEnggJ (ISSN 2799-189X) (https://doi.org/10.54645/WSRZ67568) is a peer-reviewed, online, open access journal indexed by Web of Science (ISI) that showcases science done in the Philippines and science done by Filipinos elsewhere. Research relevant to the Philippines and the region done by non-Filipinos can also be featured. It publishes Regular Research Articles, Commentaries, and Letters to the Editor on studies in the Natural, Physical, Mathematical, Computational and Social Sciences, including those related to Agriculture, Health, Engineering, Environment, Education and Technology. Solicited Reviews will also be featured. Position Papers, White Papers, Popular Science Articles on science and technology topics, including science policy issues, are welcome. Submission of News Reports of Scientific Meetings or Events is encouraged. From time to time, SciEnggJ will feature Articles on Prominent Filipino Scientists and their work. It will also include brief summaries of newsworthy science articles from other publications. Philippine Science Letters (PSL), with ISSN 2094-2818, transitioned to SciEnggJ on July 1, 2021. SciEnggJ is now recognized as the official journal of the Philippine-American Academy of Science & Engineering or PAASE. (https://paase.org) Note the Letter from the Editors announcing the transition dated June 23, 2021. Essentially, there is no restriction on the length of Regular Research Articles or Reviews, Commentaries, Letters to the Editor, and Perspectives & Prospectives. Position Papers, Popular Science Articles, Features and News Reports are limited to 1,500 words while White Papers are limited to 5,000 words. Authors must provide Supplementary Information which may refer to primary data and other pieces of information pertinent to the manuscript. Join the conversation about this journal
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document
