How to publish in this journal

Scope

Professional Psychology: Research and Practice® publishes articles on the application of psychology, including the scientific underpinnings of the profession of psychology. All articles for this journal should have clearly stated implications for practicing psychologists; it is recommended that these implications be mentioned in the abstract and discussion section. Examples of topics for which this journal is an appropriate outlet include, but are not limited to: -psychological practice activities or psychologists in their common professional activities such as assessment, therapy, supervision, consultation, research, advocacy, etc.-state-of-the-art literature reviews of clinical research on specific psychological disorders or problems in living specifically written so as to draw out the implications for prevention, assessment, or intervention-research and theory on legal, ethical, or public policy issues as they affect the practice of psychology-advances in applications from such fields as health psychology; community psychology; broadly-defined diversity, ethnicity, race, and culture; psychology of women; clinical neuropsychology; family psychology; forensic psychology; and other general and specialty areas-evidence-based practice and standards of professional practice and delivery of services in a variety of contexts—industries, institutions, and other organizations Join the conversation about this journal

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
