Scope

Sociologický časopis/Czech Sociological Review is the flagship journal of the Czech sociological community. Supported by an international editorial board and published biannually, the journal is open to scholars around the world. It invites papers presenting original research on Central and Eastern European (CEE) societies and broader comparative studies of the social and political developments that affect CEE. It also welcomes innovative theoretical and methodological work of a more general nature. The journal welcomes submissions from every branch of sociology and it may accept sociologically well-informed and relevant work from related social sciences, such as social anthropology and political science. The journal seeks to advance communication among sociologists in Central Europe and to increase the international visibility of Central European sociology. Besides original theoretical and empirical research, the journal also publishes review articles and reviews of books focusing on new developments in theoretical and empirical sociology in CEE countries and worldwide.
