Scope

Our magazine develops comprehensive communication within the lighting community, providing opportunities for discussion and free expression of opinions of specialists of different profiles; contributes to the convergence of science and engineering practice, the search for opportunities for the application of research results in lighting and technological applications of light; keeps the scientific community up to date with the latest advances in the theory of the light field, providing readers with operational professional information; initiates international cooperation, promotes and distributes the results of Russian authors in the international professional community; provides equal opportunities for authors from different regions of Russia and other countries. The journal publishes articles in the following areas: visual and non-visual effects of radiation on humans; light field theory; photometry and colorimetry; sources of light; ballasts; light devices, their design and production technology; lighting and irradiation installation; light signaling; methods of mathematical modeling of light devices and installations; problems of energy saving in lighting, installation and operation of lighting installations; modern production technologies of lighting products for lighting control systems; innovative design solutions; innovations in lighting and lighting design; the study of the effect on plants and animals, problems of using light in medicine; problems of disinfection of premises, water and smell elimination with the help of technology of UV radiation using; problems of light in the ocean and space.
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
