Scope

Archives of Budo is an international peer reviewed journal publishing articles on various aspects of the sports sciences covering education and research in martial arts and combat sports, and related areas like biomechanics, kinesiology, medicine, psychology, sociology, technologies of sports equipment, research in training, selection, performance, survival, and other interdisciplinary perspectives. Archives of Budo editors endorse the principles embodied in the Helsinki Declaration and expect that all research involving humans has been performed in accordance with these principles. All human studies must have been approved by the investigator's Institutional Review Board. A copy of the relevant documentation should be included with the manuscript. Furthermore Archives of Budo follows the ICMJE's Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals. Archives of Budo provides free, immediate and permanent online access to the full text of all articles distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0), which permits use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited, the use is non-commercial and is otherwise in compliance with the license. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
