Scope

An academic journal that aims to advance knowledge in the business and accounting disciplines, to narrow the gap between theory and practice, and to set direction for policy initiatives in Asia. Welcome to the Asian Journal of Business and Accounting (AJBA). AJBA is an international refereed journal, published biannually (30th June and 30th December) by the Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya, Malaysia. AJBA aims to publish scholarly business researches that are relevant to Malaysia and the Asian region. It intends to highlight the practical implications in promoting better business decision making process and the formulation of public policy in Asia. This journal publishes theoretical, conceptual, and empirical papers within the broad areas of business and accounting in Asia. The AJBA covers a broad spectrum of the business and accounting disciplines. A suggestive (though not necessarily comprehensive) list of areas that would be included in this journal are: general management, strategic management, human resource management, organizational behaviour, labour and industrial relations, international business management, business communication, entrepreneurship, leadership, management science, operations management, production management, supply chain management, marketing management, brand management, consumer behaviour, information management, e-marketing, e-commerce, quality management, retailing, service marketing, hospitality management, hotel and tourism management, asset pricing, capital and money markets, corporate finance, derivatives markets, finance and banking, financial economics, etc. Join the conversation about this journal
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
