Journal of Management, Spirituality and Religion

Since the Journal of Management, Spirituality & Religion (JMSR) was established in 2004, it has become the first port of call for academics interested in the spiritual and religious aspects of managing and organizing. It serves three large communities: (1) Students, scholars and practitioners of spirituality as pertaining to management and organizations, (2) Management academics and practising managers, (3) Scholars in religion studies and of religious affairs. JMSR serves as a meeting forum and fosters cross-fertilisation in these communities. It wishes to encompass, without prejudging any belief or none, a multitude of interests and concerns. Our sole criterion is academic rigour and scientific merit. It seeks to define the field through conceptual, theoretical and empirical understandings of MSR that include: • Examining MSR through different traditions • Exploring the relationship between MSR and society • Critical and interdisciplinary work that may extend the boundaries of MSR • Metaphysical explanations of MSR We are the prime dedicated academic forum for disseminating work, for the development of theory, for reporting best practice, and for the exchange of ideas and debate in Management, Spirituality and Religion. We pledge to continue and be the recognized leaders in this field of study.

Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
