Scope

Ayer es una revista especializada en la investigación en historia contemporánea, editada digitalmente y en acceso abierto por la Asociación de Historia Contemporánea y Marcial Pons-Ediciones de Historia. Se trata de una publicación académica que somete los artículos a revisión por pares doble ciego y se rige por el código de buenas prácticas, el compromiso de igualdad y el reglamento interno de funcionamiento que están publicados en esta página. La revista fue fundada y es patrocinada por la AHC, que desde 1990 viene sosteniendo su publicación como parte de sus actividades. En la actualidad, Ayer combina tres secciones: Dosier, monográfico coordinado por uno o varios especialistas, compuesto por un mínimo de cuatro y un máximo de seis artículos; Estudios, que publica artículos de forma miscelánea; y, por último una tercera sección en la que se combinan textos concebidos como estados de la cuestión, reflexiones y polémicas historiográficas, bajo los títulos de Ensayos bibliográficos, Hoy y Debates. Hasta el año 2021 la revista Ayer se editó en papel; a partir del primer número del año 2022 (Nº 125), la revista pasa a editarse en formato digital y acceso abierto. Ayer no impone línea editorial ni ideológica alguna, más allá de las exigencias de rigor y calidad propias de una publicación académica. Se concibe como un espacio de investigación, de pensamiento y de debate, abierto a las aportaciones plurales de la comunidad historiográfica. Join the conversation about this journal
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
