Scope

Journal of Medicine is a peer-reviewed, open access, bi-annual journal published in January and July. It is an official journal of Bangladesh Society of Medicine. Bangladesh Society of Medicine is an organization of Medicine specialists of Bangladesh. The society was established for ensuring the rights and benefits of Medicine specialists. The journal welcomes manuscripts in the following categories: reviews and mini-reviews oriented to the practicing internist and diagnostic puzzles from a variety of specialties, original scientific studies, short research reports, case reports of exceptional merit, analytic reviews such as meta-analyses and decision analyses, new methods and technologies, opinions on previously published literature, papers commenting on the clinical, scientific, social, political, and economic factors affecting health and letters to the editor. Our key target is to engage, inform, and stimulate doctors, researchers and other health professionals in ways that will improve outcomes for patients and may facilitate hypothesis generation and development of further research to form the foundations of tomorrow's medicine. The journal is devoted to the promotion of health sciences and related disciplines. Complimentary copies of the journal are sent to life time members of the Bangladesh Society of Medicine, libraries of all medical colleges and other relevant academic institutions. The Editor-in-Chief & the editorial board do not subscribe to the views expressed in the article written by the author(s) published in this journal. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
