Scope

The Austrian Journal of Historical Studies (OeZG) has existed since 1990. It publishes articles primarily on topics of women’s and gender history, cultural history, the history of science, political history, as well as economic- and social history. Theoretical concepts and research methods are discussed in its articles as well as in discussions with researchers, in workshop reports from ongoing projects, and in review essays. The OeZG appears three times a year, mostly in theme issues, occasionally also in open issues. Its strength lies in the connection of theoretically and methodically innovative approaches with relevant historical debates and topics. Join the conversation about this journal

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
