Scope

Opuscula Philolichenum is intended to serve as a venue for the publication of small works in the field of lichenology (including lichenicolous fungi and non-lichenized fungi traditionally treated with lichens). The central goal of the journal is to provide timely publication, in a professional format, free of charge to authors and readers. While the journal focuses on topics relating to the lichen biota of North America this is by no means exclusive and manuscripts on other topics will be considered as the table of contents of the present issue clearly illustrates. The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
