Scope

Izquierdas, revista científica con modalidad ahead of print (adelanto de edición), promueve y difunde la investigación inédita sobre la historia de los hechos e ideas de la extensa cultura socialista latinoamericana, así como sus vínculos y experiencias con otras culturas políticas regionales y extra-regionales. Como revista en acceso abierto, pone a disposición pública la totalidad de sus contenidos de forma inmediata, sin más limitaciones que las establecidas en la licencia creative commons By-NC-SA. Izquierdas no cobra ningún tipo de derechos por publicar en ella; tampoco paga ni financia la producción y publicación de los artículos que difunde. Izquierdas adhiere completamente a todas y cada uno de las declaraciones internacionales (Budapest, Bethesda y Berlin), en favor del acceso abierto (open access y open data) más amplio e irrestricto en materia de difusión y reutilización de sus contenidos. Izquierdas recibe, valida y divulga la producción científico-académica universitaria y de otros organismos especializados de Chile y el exterior. Sus principales formatos de divulgación son: Artículos científicos provenientes de investigaciones con auspicio público o privado; Comunicaciones académicas: trabajos presentados en eventos públicos tales como Congresos, Seminarios, Simposios, etc.; Estudios de fuentes y de acervos documentales; Reseñas y comentarios bibliográficos. En el amplio campo de la historiografía, sus nuevos campos, objetos y enfoques, Izquierdas da cabida a toda producción relevante atingente a su temática de base, sean ellas en calidad de historia social, política, cultural, relaciones internacionales, estudios de género, queer, culturales, sociológicos, filosóficos, estudios de fuentes. Artículos científicos, Comunicaciones académicas y Estudios de fuentes y documentos, son sometidos a evaluación en aspectos formales y de contenido. En este último caso, el llamado peer review tiene la modalidad de “doble ciego”.
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
