Scope

Agro-geoinformation, the agricultural-related geoinformation, is the key information in the agricultural decision making and policy formulation process. Recent advances in geoinformatics have created new opportunities and challenges in applying agro-geoinformation to agriculture monitoring and assessment. The Second International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics (Agro-geoinformatics 2013) provides an ideal venue for professionals and students to exchange ideas, research results, and professional experiences on collecting (including remote sensing and field survey), processing, storing, archiving, preserving, retrieving, transmitting, accessing, visualizing, analyzing, synthesizing, presenting, utilizing, and disseminating agro-geoinformation. Agro-Geoinformatics 2013 is organized and hosted by the Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems (CSISS) of George Mason University (GMU), with technical and financial sponsorships from USDA NIFA, IEEE GRSS, OGC, and many other organizations.
