Scope

The first journal of its kind in the field, International Journal of Mental Health Promotion (IJMHP) publishes materials of distinction, making it essential reading for those with a professional or personal interest in mental health promotion and the prevention of mental health problems and disorders (depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorders, somatoform disorders, sleep disorders and autism), prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders from pregnancy to adulthood, geriatric diseases. IJMHP co-ordinates the dissemination of new research outcomes to all those involved in research, practice, policy making and the implementation of understanding of mental health, mental health promotion and mental disorder prevention policies. This makes it indispensable to mental health promotion practitioners, researchers, managers, health promoters, mental health and public health professionals, educationalists, psychologists, sociologists, health economists and practitioners from all branches of health and social care, publishing materials by and for all these communities. IJMHP is peer reviewed by an expert international board and acts as a comprehensive information resource designed to increase awareness, foster understanding and promote collaboration between the different disciplines engaged in this diverse activity of study and multidisciplinary area of practice. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
