Scope

Biomedical multidimensional signal processing and multimedia understanding is an important part of many intelligent applications. Analyzing raw data is essential to exploit their full potential and to help with their detail analysis and use in bioengineering, control and robotic systems. Our purpose is to provide an international forum to present and discuss current trends and future directions in computational intelligence in biomedicine, neurology and multimedia understanding. The meeting also aims at fostering the creation of a permanent network of scientists and practitioners for an easy access to latest research topics in this interdisciplinary area. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to: • Medical data mining, biosensors and multiframe signal acqusition • Medical image segmentation • Biological and medical knowledge representation and data processing • Man-machine interaction, motion detection, recognition and modelling • Statistical and Bayesian methods of biosignal processing • Wavelet transforms and multidimensional signals analysis • Computational intelligence in biomedicine • Polysomnography and diagnosis of sleep disorders • Optical coherence tomography and retinal imaging • Data processing in rehabilitation and analysis of sport activities • Integration of heterogeneous data sources in medicine and data fusion • Multimedia labeling, semantic annotation • Multimodal and cross-modal data analysis, clustering • Big data, distributed digital libraries and decision support systems in medicine • Multimodal indexing and searching in very large data-bases • Remote patient monitoring and telemonitoring, eHealth, mHealth • Digital signal processing and assistive technologies • Text and speech recognition • Microscopic image feature extraction and classification Join the conversation about this journal
SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
