Scope

La Revista Colombiana de Ortopedia y Traumatología es una publicación científica de la Sociedad Colombiana de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología - SCCOT cuyo propósito es la publicación de artículos académicos y científicos sobre ortopedia y traumatología y otras áreas afines a esta especialidad quirúrgica. A partir de 2023, los artículos que aprueben el proceso editorial son publicados en inglés y español. Actualmente, la Revista Colombiana de Ortopedia y Traumatología publica los siguientes tipos de artículos: Artículo original, Artículo de revisión (revisión sistemática y/o metaanálisis y revisión de la literatura), Artículo de reflexión, Reporte de caso, Carta al editor, Editorial. El envío de artículos a la revista a través de nuestro portal OJS está habilitado los 365 días del año; los artículos enviados a la revista pueden estar escritos en español o inglés, sin embargo deben ser inéditos y deben cumplir estrictamente con todos los requisitos establecidos en las Directrices para autores. En todo caso, una vez enviado a través de nuestro portal OJS, la revista se reserva el derecho de sugerir/realizar modificaciones de forma y contenido en el artículo en las diferentes etapas del proceso editorial con la debida notificación a los autores. Si bien la Revista Colombiana de Ortopedia y Traumatología tiene un modelo de publicación trimestral (un volumen anual con cuatro números publicados en enero-marzo, abril-junio, julio-septiembre y octubre-diciembre, respectivamente), a partir de 2023 adoptó un modelo de publicación continua en el que los artículos asignados a cada uno de los cuatro números del volumen anual serán publicados de forma individual una vez completen todas las etapas del proceso editorial. SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
