Scope

The scope of non-coding RNA includes, but is not limited to, the following subjects: -Functional studies dealing with identification, structure-function relationships or biological activity of: small regulatory RNAs (miRNAs, siRNAs and piRNAs) associated with the RNA interference pathway, small nuclear RNAs, small nucleolar and tRNAs derived small RNAs, other types of small RNAs, such as those associated with splice junctions and transcription start sites, long non-coding RNAs, including antisense RNAs, long 'intergenic' RNAs, intronic RNAs and 'enhancer' RNAs, other classes of RNAs such as vault RNAs, scaRNAs, circular RNAs, 7SL RNAs, telomeric and centromeric RNAs, regulatory functions of mRNAs and UTR-derived RNAs, catalytic and allosteric (riboswitch) RNAs, viral, transposon and repeat-derived RNAs, bacterial regulatory RNAs, including CRISPR RNAS. -Analysis of RNA processing, RNA binding proteins, RNA signaling and RNA interaction pathways: DICER, AGO, PIWI and PIWI-like proteins, other classes of RNA binding and RNA transport proteins, RNA interactions with chromatin-modifying complexes, RNA interactions with DNA and other RNAs, the role of RNA in the formation and function of specialized subnuclear organelles and other aspects of cell biology, intercellular and intergenerational RNA signaling, RNA processing, structure-function relationships in RNA complexes. -RNA analyses, informatics, tools and technologies: transcriptomic analyses and technologies, development of tools and technologies for RNA biology and therapeutics. -Translational studies involving long and short non-coding RNAs: identification of biomarkers, development of new therapies involving microRNAs and other ncRNAs, clinical studies involving microRNAs and other ncRNAs. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.

Cites per Doc

Evolution of the number of total citation per document and external citation per document (i.e. journal self-citations removed) received by a journal's published documents during the three previous years. External citations are calculated by subtracting the number of self-citations from the total number of citations received by the journal’s documents.
