How to publish in this journal

Scope

Upstream Oil & Gas Technology is an online-only journal which aims to bridge the gap between the engineering and the science of sustainable natural gas and petroleum exploration and production. The journal will publish original and novel research for scientists and engineers working in any field of petroleum engineering, natural gas engineering, and petroleum & natural gas geology and strive towards efficient delivery of energy for net-zero carbon goals. Like its parent journals the Journal of Natural Gas Science & Engineering, and the Journal of Petroleum Science & Engineering, Upstream Oil & Gas Technology's mission is to advance and disseminate knowledge in all the related and interconnected disciplines of upstream oil and gas technology. Upstream Oil & Gas Technology publishes original articles, review articles and case-studies. Alongside welcoming direct submissions, the journal will benefit from an Article Transfer Service which will allow the author(s) to transfer their manuscript online from Journal of Natural Gas Science & Engineering and Journal of Petroleum Science & Engineering, thus saving authors time and effort spent on formatting and resubmitting. SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
