Scope

This journal is only available online from 2011 onwards. Fuel Cells — From Fundamentals to Systems publishes on all aspects of fuel cells, ranging from their molecular basis to their applications in systems such as power plants, road vehicles and power sources in portables. Fuel Cells is a platform for scientific exchange in a diverse interdisciplinary field. All related work in -chemistry- materials science- physics- chemical engineering- electrical engineering- mechanical engineering- is included. Fuel Cells—From Fundamentals to Systems has an International Editorial Board and Editorial Advisory Board, with each Editor being a renowned expert representing a key discipline in the field from either a distinguished academic institution or one of the globally leading companies. Fuel Cells—From Fundamentals to Systems is designed to meet the needs of scientists and engineers who are actively working in the field. Until now, information on materials, stack technology and system approaches has been dispersed over a number of traditional scientific journals dedicated to classical disciplines such as electrochemistry, materials science or power technology. Fuel Cells—From Fundamentals to Systems concentrates on the publication of peer-reviewed original research papers and reviews. Join the conversation about this journal
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
