Scope

Journal of East-West Business is a quarterly journal that deals with contemporary and emerging aspects of business studies, strategies, development, and practice as they relate to the Russian Federation, the new republics of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Eastern/Central Europe-and business relationships with other countries of the world. The Journal of East-West Business is international in scope and treats business issues from comparative, cross-cultural, and cross-national perspectives. The journal features an Editorial Advisory Board that represents the Russian Federation, Eastern/Central European, and Baltic states in this new business arena. The journal covers an enormous gamut of inquiry, including: -privatization of state enterprises- management training and development- foreign direct investment- entrepreneurship and small business development- joint ventures and strategic alliances- telecommunications in Central Europe- case studies- transformation to the free-market economy system- enhancement of distribution- foreign direct investment- management of technology transfer and reverse technology transfer- export/import and trade development- free trade and industrial growth- market research in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States- international licensing/franchising- development of tourism in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States capital financing and budgeting- other emerging topics of critical concern to countries in this area Join the conversation about this journal
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
