Scope

Micro & Nano Letters offers express online publication of short research papers containing the latest advances in micro and nano-scale science, engineering and technology, with at least one dimension ranging from micrometers to nanometers. Micro & Nano Letters offers readers high-quality original research from both the micro and nano communities, and the materials and devices communities. Bridging this gap between materials science and micro and nano-scale devices, Micro & Nano Letters addresses issues in the disciplines of engineering, physical, chemical, and biological science. It places particular emphasis on cross-disciplinary activities and applications. Typical topics include: Micro and nanostructures for the device communities MEMS and NEMS Modelling, simulation and realisation of micro and nanoscale structures, devices and systems validated by, or compared to, experimental data. Papers with no reference to experimental data will not be considered Synthesis and processing Micro and nano-photonics Molecular machines, circuits and self-assembly Organic and inorganic micro and nanostructures Micro and nano-fluidics. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
