Scope

A Revista Brasileira de Estudos de População é um periódico de fluxo contínuo, composto de artigos inéditos, de reconhecido mérito científico, sobre demografia e população e desenvolvimento sustentável, assim como de áreas afins que mantenham o diálogo com o escopo da revista. A Rebep aceita manuscritos para publicação nas seguintes categorias: -Artigos de revisão: revisão crítica da literatura sobre temas no campo dos estudos populacionais e áreas correlatas (máximo de 10.000 palavras e cinco ilustrações); -Artigos originais: resultados de pesquisa empírica, teórica experimental ou conceitual (máximo de 8.000 palavras e cinco ilustrações); -Nota técnica: apresentação de análises prévias de pesquisas, cujos resultados sejam relevantes (máximo de 3.000 palavras e três ilustrações); -Ponto de vista: opinião qualificada sobre tema de relevância ou crítica a artigo publicado em fascículo imediatamente anterior (máximo de 3.000 palavras e duas ilustrações); -Resenha: crítica de livros publicados nos últimos três anos (máximo de 3.000 palavras); -Debate: ensaios teóricos opinativos relacionados à discussão da dinâmica demográfica, seguidos de avaliações de autores convidados pelo editor e de resposta do autor do artigo principal (máximo de 8.000 palavras e cinco ilustrações). Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
