Situations Sanitaires Exceptionnelles Formerly known as Urgences Médicales;Médecine de Catastrophe - Urgences Collectives - Situations Sanitaires Exceptionnelles is the journal of the French Society of Disaster Medicine (SFMC). Médecine de Catastrophe - Urgences Collectives - Situations Sanitaires Exceptionnelles wants to promote disaster medicine by publishing all experiences, scientific and technical research that can advancing the care of victims, the management and prevention of crisis situations. The journal aims to expose the collective risk management problems in their aspects of forecasting, research, prevention and treatment. Médecine de Catastrophe - Urgences Collectives - Situations Sanitaires Exceptionnelles publishes also guidelines about disaster medicine, exceptional health situations and collective emergencies, and the communications of the various scientific sessions organized by the SFMC. The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
